Bel Air Investment Advisors partnered with The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts for the Los Angeles premiere of HERSHEY FELDER: A PARIS LOVE STORY featuring the music of Claude Debussy and written and performed by Hershey Felder. Before the performance, Bel Air guests were treated to an informative discussion about the transformation of the historic U.S. Post Office building in Beverly Hills into a world-class theater.
Guests received a behind the scenes look at how produced plays come to life at The Wallis, including the sourcing and production details of a production. Taking the stage, virtuoso Hershey Felder took attendees on his own personal journey as he explored the life and music of Impressionist composer Claude Debussy. From the sweeping La mer to the evocative L'après-midi d'un faune and the mystical Clair de lune, this soaring tribute will never be forgotten.
Doubling as playwright and performer, Felder’s portrayal of a man who was among the most influential composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries bringing to life a visionary who proclaimed nature his religion and romance his milieu. This production is the latest work in Felder’s critically acclaimed “Great Composer Series” of one-man shows, which have included George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein, Irving Berlin, Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt, and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Felder, named to Time Magazine’s 2016 Top 10 Plays and Musicals, has played over 5,000 performances of his self-created solo productions at some of the world’s most prestigious theatres and has broken box office records consistently.
